A Shopping Spree

I am a bargain shopper, I love shopping sales, using coupons and getting as much of a discount as possible. When I was approached to shop at two of my favorite stores - Marshall's and TJ Maxx, I immediately said yes! Armed with a $25.00 giftcard for each of the stores I entered full of anticipation about the goodies I would leave with. I am a long time fan of both of these stores and I shop them for different reasons.

I knew going into Marshall's that I would head directly to the children's section. Marshall's is my go to store when looking for designer clothes for my son at discounted prices. I was not disappointed. I left with two 3 piece outfits for the fall. Both have jackets, I have a pair of jeans and courdory pants, a jersey and a vest. Each outfit was $12.99. I was only a dollar over budget and in my opinion having2 mix and match outfits for $26.00 is a bargain!
My next stop was TJ Maxx. I like to shop at TJ Maxx for clothing for myself, accessories and household goods. Since moving into my home two years ago I have really fallen short on decorating - with the exception of my son's room. So, to get the ball rolling, I decided to purchase some bath towels in the colors I am thinking of painting the master suite and bath. I purchased 3 sets of towels and washclothes for $27.00. The quality is great and I love the colors.
My entire shopping excursion only took 30 minutes. I knew exactly what I was looking for and there was enough variety and selection for me to have a great shopping experience. Now, if I had been shopping for clothes for myself I would have taken much longer to browse and try on clothes but this was an easy trip.

I love these stores and have to extend a big thank you to Victoria for giving me the opportunity to "shop to I dropped!"

Bumkins

I have been a big fan of the Bumkins brand for awhile. Mekhi has four of the bibs and I just love them. When the Mom Bloggers Club asked me to review Bumkins it was a no-brainer. Review a brand that I already love? No problem.

Here is a little info about Bumkins from the website:
"Bumkins merchandise is only made from natural or non-toxic fabrics, such as organic cotton and our signature PVC, phthalate and BPA free waterproof material. The majority of Bumkins product offerings are manufactured in the United States, further strengthening our responsible business practices and affirming a commitment to supporting the local economy."

Did I mention I love Bumkins? The bibs have a catch pocket that comes in handy for that food that misses Mekhi's mouth. In addition to the bibs that are easily cleaned and ready for the next use, Bumkins has a nursery clothing line. This was news to me. I was blow away when my package arrived and the soft feel of the organic cotton Dr. Seuss themed coverall was amazing. I could not wait to try it on Mekhi and he eagerly obliged.

As you can see Mekhi had a grand time running around in his coveralls. I think this is the perfect outfit for him to wear on Christmas morning and for lazy days hanging around the house. The quaiity is excellent and it is so easy to get on and off that Mekhi was able to get out of it by himself!

I am now a fan of their clothing line and of course I still love the bibs. Lucky for you Bumkins currently has a promotion running that I want to tell you about.

Cool Baby Clothes

I have to admit that I sometimes envy women that have daughters, primarily because of one very superficial reason - clothes. Enter any clothing shop and you are sure to find an enormous selection for precious little girls. For the little boys you have the usual - jeans, khakis, button down shirts, and sweatsuits. Nothing really exciting. So you can imagine my happiness when the Family Review Network gave me the opportunity to review some cool baby clothes.

You see that shirt that Mekhi is wearing? It says REBEL. This shirt was clearly made for my little boy. I caught him in all of his rebellious glory messing around witht the cd player in his room. Of course he knows better but rebel that he is played with it anyway.

The t-shirt is made of 100% cotton and is clearly quality material. It has a nice weight to the fabric and did not shrink in the wash. The one thing that I would suggest when purchasing is to go up a size because the clothes seem to run a bit small. Mekhi is wearing a 18-24 month shirt and despite him being small for his age it is a little bit snug. Since the weather is cooling off I think this shirt is perfect for wearing under a heavier open top for the layering effect.

Uncommonly Cute has a great selection of t-shirts and onesies for both the little girls and boys in your life. All of the tops have trendy sayings and according to the site "Elmo is my homeboy" is the most popular seller. Check out Uncommonly Cute for trendy clothing for the little rockstar in your life.
